Please keep in mind that driving times and availability of certain activities may vary, so it’s essential to plan ahead and check for any updates or closures before your trip. Here’s a sample itinerary:

Day 1: Sequoia National Park

  • Morning: Arrive at the park  spend time exploring the awe-inspiring Giant Forest, home to some of the largest trees on Earth, including the General Sherman Tree. Hike the Congress Trail or the Crescent Meadow Loop to witness these magnificent sequoias up close. If time permits, visit Moro Rock for a stunning panoramic view of the park.

Day 2: Kings Canyon National Park

  • Morning: Head out early to Kings Canyon National Park, located adjacent to Sequoia National Park.
  • Morning to Afternoon: Spend the day exploring the majestic Kings Canyon, known for its deep gorges and rugged terrain. Drive along the Kings Canyon Scenic Byway and make stops at viewpoints like Grizzly Falls and Roaring River Falls. Consider taking a hike down into the canyon on the Mist Falls Trail or the Zumwalt Meadow Loop

Day 3: Yosemite National Park

  • Morning  Arrive at Yosemite and make a pit stop at the iconic tunnel view.  Afterward, head to Yosemite Valley and take in the iconic sights such as Yosemite Falls, El Capitan, and Half Dome.
  • Afternoon: Explore the valley further by taking a shuttle or hiking some of the shorter trails like the Lower Yosemite Falls Trail or the Cook’s Meadow Loop. For a more extended hike, consider the Mist Trail to Vernal and Nevada Falls.
